It’s on!
The chill is in the air, the ground is getting harder, and the snow is nearing. The last CX race of the year for the Chicago Cross Cup is also this weekend. We implore you to drag out all your friends and loved ones to this final escapade in the park as the competitors give it their snot chilled best to give you a great show. Snow or no snow – its all getting laid down in the greatest effort of December since reindeer struggling to carry that fat man in a red suit through the air. I’m sure we’ll see a few red suits, or bare skin.
Rest up this week and get ready to spectate like you’ve never spectated before, Chicago has been getting a reputation for having a helluva a cross series, but more importantly, a helluva a fan base. I’ve read some pretty interesting comments on the ChiCrossCup site on how some folks consider the hooligans to be over the top or not that necessary to the experience. We’re in ChiTown baby, and the experience is as awesome as our skyline. Once the madness is over on the CX front – the dirt riding will commence. Consider the garden to clean up your skills prior to next season. Some roadies have incredibly powerful legs, but absolutely lousy handling. Clean that riding up – and you can be CX National Contender – that’s all us dirtbags are saying. Rip it up yo!
Give Us Names!
Well it seems there is a young’n who is adamant about knowing the names of our characters – truth is – we don’t know! We just thought they looked like dirtbaggers, I mean really, when we think of female dirtbaggers, we naturally think ‘foxy’ – so perhaps its why she’s represented by the foxy mask. The dude, well, he looks like he chops trees down and rides a 35 lb. freeride bike, Stiggity style. So why don’t y’all e-mail us on what you think the names should be – and hit us up at Montrose and give us your name suggestions. We’ll make sure to have a nice gift for you for your creative thinking – winner of the names will be announced the week of December 7th.
