You see that’s what happens in a collective like this. Someone comes in with a great piece of inspired writing, and you have to follow it. Today for Good Friday I am leaving work early and having lunch with the family and if the snow will relax a little, maybe I can squeeze in a bicycle ride. Nothing much but if Paolo’s boss can do it than so can I.
The announcement came out yesterday that Team Slipstream-Chipotle will indeed be in for the 08′ Tour de France. That’s great news for the Aerodynamic Burritos. Apparently the French have a hard on for the tortilla wrapped goodness minus the dopeage, with a side of argyle, served up with sporty glasses and sideburns. The ASO, the group who does the inviting to the tour, left off Astana. They left off the team with the returning champion. But, no matter what posturing is done now, there is still a possible spot left for them to be included. Last year they invited 21 teams, this year only 20. Keep an eye out for how tough the UCI comes down on the riders who rode in the ASO events. That last spot that ASO says doesn’t exist may be magically filled by Astana come July. Oh and look, did the Tour of Georgia come down with a case of the ASO’s? They didn’t invite Rock Racing to their little party in Georgia. They left the best team in the country out of the race, for what can only be almost identical reasons to Astana’s tour exclusion. That and some people just don’t like Michael Ball.
Will somebody tell the plows to cool it already. It has only been snowing for about an hour this morning and already they have the blades down. Throwing salt and tearing up the roads for snow that is not going to freeze for another 12 hours. That’s the reason the roads are so torn up around the area, plows and their blades ripping apart the streets or our fair city. Help there is a quarter inch of snow on the roads put down the blades and take off the first quarter inch of pavement to remove it. I love this stuff.

It‘s quite in here! Why not leave a response?
